Hi there everyone,

To start things off Im new to the boards, Im a 20year old male with some weirdthings going on. so hello folks and heres my story. Im coming here looking for some thoughts while im waiting for tests and the such to come back. Last week I had gone to the see the doctor because I had been suffering from IBS like symptoms (stomach cramps, need to use the washroom after every meal, muccous etc, suffered from hemorrhoids in the past etc.) The dr had felt around the stomach and said theres no lumps and all that.I went onto have some blood tests and results showed I have low hemoglobin. When they had called they said nothing serious, but they needed to do some iron tests Now ive been looking around on the internet and some other signs I have shown are getting me a little freaked out, I have tiny red dots on my upper legs but htose ive seen to have had my whole life, and another one that really worried me was waking up really sweating at night. When ive been looking around, lots of these signs point to leaukimia. I could be overreacting, seeing how the dr's office had said nothing serious, Im not sure what kind of blood tests they did but would these have shown anything more serious? As ive been looking around ive been getting myself worked up so any insight willhelp here. thanks for your time!!!

A low hemoglobin alone may be an indication of something other than Leukemia. The petechia which is on your legs sounds more of freckles. Petechia appear as a symptom of Leukemia caused by low platelet counts. As far as the night sweats, I am not so sure as to why you may be experiencing them.

If all of your other blood work came back within normal limits, I would not be expecting you to have a diagnosis of Leukemia at this time. However, if your symptoms persist and new ones appear, such as high fevers or a rapid heart rate, I would go back to your doctor and tell them your concerns.
