Does anyone know how to get rid of the vertical lines around the lips, especially the upper lip, where lipstick tends to run up into them? Lip liners don't seem to help as much anymore. Does anyone know if micro dermabrasion gets rid of these lines? Or any type of procedure? Thanks.

lasering with a laser helps, but that is considered plastic surgery and can be expensive. If it's only a small area it might not cost very much. It's permanent as well, however over time it will happen again for whatever caused it to begin with.

the other option is to get a chemical peel.. it's more effective than the microdermabrasion but not as expensive and harsh as a laser.

Thanks for the information. I'm going to get a consultation down at the cosmetic doctors' office. Maybe they can tell me what I need. I guess I wanted to get some advice as to what other people did for vertical lip lines, so I'd have a little knowledge before I went in there. I don't want to be taken for a ride as far as procedures that don't work, or are too expensive. I think the lazer thing is probably very expensive. Thank you.

I wonder if a chemical peel is something that leaves blisters and keeps you from going to work? Well, I guess I'll find out when I go for my consultation. I want the easiest way out with the least noticable after affects. Thanks.

Cosmoplast and Restylane are really popular injections that fill in those wrinkles for about 6 months. They are FDA approved and don't have any side effects as far as I know. It really makes your lips look about 15-20 years younger.

I don't know if I want to get into that injection thing, it's so expensive. It seems like once you do it and the lines are gone, 6 months later you're spending a lot of money doing it again. Do you know how much something like that costs for the lip area? Thanks
