Can you guys tell me if you have had one & the procedure? I am a bit nervous about it. The nurse at my doctors office says just to take motrin & I should be fine. I am sched for Friday...any thoughts would be helpful! :)

I sort of had it done, they placed the catheter in the cervix but had trouble setting it through due to a blockage and did not want to force it through, it was slightly undignified but not painful but i did not have the dye and they say that that is the uncomfortable part, a bit like af pain but worse.
It should be over and done with within about half hor.

Thanks for your reply. I had the HSG done today. It did hurt. :eek: My doctor was very nice and she kept asking if I was okay. It felt like very bad cramps!But it was quick! She didn't make me roll to my side either cause the dye went through the tubes.She said everything looked good.She will probably start me on clomid now.What exactly does clomid do??? Anyway thanks for the reply about the hsg. :wave:

Im not 100% but it has helped me to ovulate, i was put onto it as i was not ovulating and so it has helped. Good luck and hope your feeling ok.

Thanks I 'm feeling pretty good, just had a few cramps over the weekend.I am pretty sure I O so I wondered why the clomid??I have egg white cm and pos OPT so I'm not sure....guess I will wait & talk to my doc. I think the problem is DH & morphology issues but the hsg is supossed to help fertility in the first few months after so hopefully!!!!Just cross your fingers for me. {removed} Baby dust & thanks!
