My friend is very scared, and frankly so am I. About 5 or six weeks ago she noticed some small painful lumps in one armpit which went away after about a week. Then, a few days later they were back.
She went to the doctor who said that they could be hormone related and to come back when her period had finished.
In the meantime she noticed a lump in her other armpit too, and the orginial ones were still there although no worse.
On returning to the doctor she was told that they were probably something related to infection somewhere in the body, the doc ordered blood tests.
If this does not show anything then the doctor says she will send her to the Tropical Diseases Clinic.

We are both very worried in case it is something more serious, but are hoping it is not of course.
Any information or similar stories would be appreciated, there is nothing more frightening than the unknown.

As far as i know, if they are small, painful, and they don't continuously get bigger, this is good news.
