Hi, I am new to this board and am wondering if anyone can shed some light on my results, I dont have an apt. with my doctor until next week....I have not been diagnosed with DM but the doctor suspected insulin resistance and reactive hypoglecima...Just recently my endocrinologist diagnosed me with Subclinical hypothyroidsm, but am not being treated b/c its still not "hypothyroidsm", I do have a lot of symptoms though so my obgyn wanted to rule out that the cause of my symptoms wasn't related to this insulin diagnosis she was trying to rule out. I am assuming I am defintely not diabetic b/c of the blood sugar results, but dont understand why my glycohemoglobin results are on the high end?

Oral Glucose Tolerance test:

61 mg/ul prior to taking the oral glucose, then 103, 107, 102, and 100mg, 1/2 an hour, 1 hour, 1.5 hours and 2 hours respetively after taking the oral solution...

My glycohemoglobin levels are 8.5% on a 6.6-8.6% range.

My insulin is 9 on a range of 3-28....this is from a test done in July..

Any light you can shed is greatly appreciated!
