Hi, this is my first post!

I was just curious to see if anyone with TMJ disorder has ever gone and gotten the ZOOM Whitening done. I'm getting married next July and I really want to get my teeth whitened. I have used the Crest Whitestrips, but they make my teeth more sensitive than they already are. I know that peroxide is one of the ingredients used in the ZOOM Whitening and that it can cause increased tooth sensitivity.

If anyone has had this done, knows anyone who had it done, etc. I'd really appreciate any input!

Thanks!

I personally would not do it. I talked with my orthodontist assistant, and she has told me that some people have a bad reaction on their gums due to the chemicals. It like burns their gums bad due to the chemicals.

My daughter got the bleaching trays for her senior pictures. Her teeth looked great within two weeks. Her gums did get a bit sensitive to the bleach.

I have heard very good things about the dental strips you buy from the dentist. They are suppose to be stronger than the store ones.

I would think if the strips bothered your teeth than the Zoom really would. It is a lot stronger than the strips.

Also, my husband read an article on the ZOOM on *** a few years ago about the ultraviolet light killing some people's root in their teeth. It really scared me off the Zoom all together.

My cousin had it done and it looks great, but she has no tmj problems.

Me I have problems with everything, so I will buy the strips when I get my braces off.
