Copennagen17,

I just returned from an two day intensive training workshop where the info from lectures came fast and furious. All important stuff for my trade.

I am on 20mg of AdderalXR and it failed me miserably. For regular job functions it works just fine.

Time to implement old coping skills. I can stay focused by doing two things (or more) at once. Took out a manual and started reading while listening. Joted down important points when they came. Mind starts wandering - back to reading, etc. etc. Our brains need a stimulation rich enviroments to stay focused. Try my trick or something similar and see if it works.

Yes! Very good suggestion, Bob. Even just chewing gum while trying to concentrate has been shown to help. Anything you can do to stay alert will aid your concentration. Doodling in the margins, tapping your foot, toying an object in your hand (like those soft "stress" balls) all will help.

Copennagen, while you may not be addicted, you have - unfortunately - develped a tolerance to your Adderall. You are already taking the maximum recommended dosage. Your doctor isn't likely to want you to increase it. The only other suggestion that I can think of is Dexedrine. You might ask if you could try it. But, chances are good that you'll develop a tolerance to it, too, eventuallly. Better that you try to learn some coping skills along the way.

Good luck to you!
