View Full Version : Irrigation solution?

Does anyone have a good solution for irrigation? I currently use a netipot once or twice a day. I mix 1/4 tsp of sea salt with 2 cups of bottled water which I microwave for 30 seconds. This seems to be a decent temperature. Distilled water seemed very irritating.

My sinuses are very raw lately and I think it's sinus infection time again (alot of green/yellow this morning).

Thanks in advance!

be sure the temp is no more than 100 degrees, ive been using regular tap water for over 2 years since my sinus surgery, a pinch of baking soda and reg salt, helps kill the acidic qualities of the water, and makes it a little less irritating. i do have some celtic salt ive used. collodial silver solution is a excellent sinus infection fighter and not expensive. do a search on the silver.but 100 degree water is the ideal temp, i always use a didgital oral therm to check,

Personally I don't think you are using enough salt. My doctor told me it was 1/4 teaspoon for every 8 oz of water. So for 2 cups you would need 1/2 teaspoon. I was also told to add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda per 8 oz of water.

But now I use Breathe-ease powder. I like it because it is pre-mixed has Xytitol for preventing bacteria infection.
