Hi all - Me again - I walked 1.5 miles today about double what i usually walk and my left halmstring is sore. Similar to the pain I was getting post op from my microdiscectomy 15 days ago. Wanted to know if this is common and if I over did it. Also wanted to know how much I should walk. When I was walking I felt GREAT. I was outside in nice weather, wasnt stuck in this damn bed and felt alive!

I am also getting pain in my rear on Right side when I sit Where the butt bone is - I have no butt so it feels like I am sitting on a metal bleacher- ( opposite side of origianl pain. I think this is do to favoring the left side and becuase for the first time in my life i have perfect posture. If surface is soft then no pain so I know its just pain.. but wanted to know if yall had this too.

Man this post op is really annoying. What happened to simple stuff like going to the dentist and getting a tooth pulled then feeling great a day later!!

You probably overdid things. Rest a day or so, then start walking again. If you were walking 3/4 of a mile and doubled it, you just pushed too hard. Graduate in small doses. 3/4 of a mile....increased to 1 mile. A few days, add a couple more blocks. It'll go easier for you and will be more helpful in the long run. Frustrating to hold back when you feel good, I know.
