I have another question.. I had swollen glands since last winter of 2004. Noticed them around November.
They are still there and are kind of hard. They do hurt sometimes.
How long do they need to be swollen to cause alarm?

Swollen glands should not stay around that long. You need to see a "good physician", one who is interested in finding out the cause of your problem.

my doc said it was just build up in the lymph nodes. I forgot what he said axactly. But he also said he could not rule out anything at that point cuz I was sick. He said to wait til' I get better..
He checked my for strep throat, and even listened to my breathing. . He said my breathing was fine, and I had no strep..

mine are larger just due to scar tissue. not anything to worry about. from a yr of being sick/antibiotics. check with your doc.

I am having the same type of problem with my lymph nodes. hey are under my jaw. I noticed the in april but have yet to find the cause. Some say acid reflux, some say an infection that left them enlarged forever. I just don't know what to think!!! What do yours feel like and where are they??
