I'm in California & see so many people using the above methods with great success. It's not just for symptom relief, but actually is a permanent remedy.

Sponsor kya 03-15-2006, 01:04 AM Caroleye - can you give more details about the success that you have seen with neurofeedback? I am considering this for my 9 year old son, but, I would like more information before we begin a new treatment. Any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you, kya caroleye 03-15-2006, 11:20 AM Caroleye - can you give more details about the success that you have seen with neurofeedback? I am considering this for my 9 year old son, but, I would like more information before we begin a new treatment. Any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you, kya It really would be like comparing apples & oranges, as treating ADD has been done for so many years, the success rate is very, very high (with an experienced person). As for me, I'm in my 60's, been disabled w/Lupus, & several other autoiummune diseases, so it's going to take some time to get the right profile for me. We have found out that working on my left frontal lobes boosts my mood & energy. But it's taken some time to figure this out, and I only do one second, due to my extraordinary sensitivity.l I was suicidal when I first went, so I would say that we're doing very well. I'm her first with this nature, but she's done tons of ADD kids. Our helper has an adolescent with ADD & I just found a Dr. that's going to start treating her, as she's " in her own world ", and having social problems due to her learning disabilities. Good luck. If it were my child, I'd be there in a flash. carole kya 03-16-2006, 12:55 AM Thank you so much, Carole... medicating our son has been the most difficult decision my husband and I have ever made... but, after several years of attempting more natural solutions, we finally decided to... and although, we don't regret it, since it has made life much better for him, socially and academically, we would LOVE to find help for him without using meds. good luck to you and thank you again, kya 3boyz4me 04-04-2006, 03:47 PM Kya, did you end up using biofeedback for your son? How is it going? I'm researching bio/neurofeedbeck for my son too. thanks. Dawn nickkaylee 04-04-2006, 04:38 PM I just started checking into this for my son also. I just need to find out some things like cost and if my insurance will pay for it. caroleye 04-04-2006, 05:16 PM It depends on the person's credential that gives it, and also your insurance. Once you find out who you're going to work with, they probably will know. Good luck...............carole kya 04-05-2006, 08:31 PM Hi, I actually have not... yet. We live in a rural area and I am still investigating and hoping to find someone who is highly qualified and yet not too far away, since the various articles that I have read about it, say that it takes around 40 visits or so. I will keep you informed and would love to hear about anyone elses experiences, also. thank you, kya |
