Hi everyone
I have a question for all of you.
I have asthma. It's being controlled with 250/50 advair.
The reason why I am writing is.
I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled in a few weeks. I am concerned over the fact that the doctor wants to give me tylenol with codeine..
Have any you taken this with no side affects ?
I will be contacting my family doctor to get his opinion and see if he would rather give me something different.
I would just like an other person viewpoint.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my post
Have a great holiday

Unless you know you are allergic to it I don;t see a problem. I can take Tylenol with no problem. As for the codeine, well, my body reacts in the opposite...it cranks me up instead of knocking me out. So I steer clear of it. If I'm in that much pain, I'll opt for Lortab....makes me feel great but doesn't wind me up.

Thanks for writing me back.
I've never had a problem with tylenol. Its the codeine I'm questioning. I never taken anything stronger than just plain old tylenol. I think what the best thing to do is just have the pills filled just incase I might need them.
I have no idea how much pain I'll be in with having the wisdom teeth removed.
Better be safe than sorry :)
Hopefully it wont crank me up like it does with you, LOL
Thanks again

I took the medication mentioned for a tooth. Personally when I took them I felt NO PAIN in any sence. almost a high. a couple months later I threw my back out and this really did take care of the pain!!!! That codine is good stuff for pain but use it only for your intended use.

I wouldn't think you would have a problem unless you are allergic to codeine. I take advair and lots of pain meds for fibromyalgia w/o problems. you could always call the pharmacist.
