TheOne27 11-21-2005, 11:32 PM I was wondering if the eye doctor can tell if retinopathy is specifically from solar exposure? Sponsor Torre 11-22-2005, 09:44 AM That's a tough question for us non-doctors to answer. Are you talking about being exposed to bright sunlight for a long period of time (living in Australia, eg.), or a one-time, staring at the sun exposure? Torre TheOne27 11-22-2005, 12:02 PM A few exposures of like 30 minutes... Torre 11-23-2005, 09:07 AM Not staring at the sun for 30 minutes surely? I believe direct solar damage to the retina would be evident to an eye doctor at the time. After the retina heals, I don't know if the cause of the damage would be obvious--that's way beyond my limited knowledge. Would you care to give us more details? I'm always interested in cases of retinopathy. Torre |
