Does anyone have problems with cold weather. It starts the same way everytime. My house gets cold I start to shiver and my body goes into high alert. This happened for some three days in a row. I thought it would not be a problem. After this episode I noticed my anxiety was back in full foece. I got a cold first then I felt really fatigued now I'm oh so anxious. First from the tiredness and second that shivering feeling inside. My body is actually in pain from a little cold coming through the window. its my senstive nervous system. I really feel very shakey and very weak. I dont own my own house so I have to wait to the building gives heat. Until then i have to go into a hot bath to warm my body. When I was much younger now 47 around 18 I had a shivering attack when on a vacation. Same thing happened. Got cold started to shiver and couldnt stop for twenty minutes. Later came the panic attacks and its now history.Anyone else get this??

severe shivering chills are common for anxiety sufferers but I havent seen them mentioned anywhere in the literature. so dont expoect much understanding from doc
I get them even though my panic attacks have been stopped for years
exposure to a cool draught of air when I am overheated and sweaty usually causes me a severe shivering chill
get a thermometer and take your temperature which probably will always be normal it helps to have a heavy jacket handy that also protects you from the wind

Yes, I hate to be cold. All my pains seem worse. If you can't turn up the heat, can you purchase a space heater? There are several types in many price ranges. I just got one myself so I don't have to turn up the heat in my entire house all the time. When we were young we used one in an apartment we lived in that didn't have a heater. That one was an oil-filled heater that worked great...the one I have now is a radiant heater and was very inexpensive. I researched prices on the internet...I can't tell you where I got it because of the rules, but you'll find them easily if you do a search. Here's hoping for a warm winter...good luck!

Thats kind of funny that you mention that, I am the exact opposite! I don't likle it when it is too hot. I go into a brain fog, spaced out feeling. That triggers my panic attacks. Weird. Yea, I would recomend a space heater too. I hope you feel better. Kelly
