My sister got her wisdom teeth out on June 30th. Today she noticed on her left lower jaw area their seems to be a knot and when you touch it you can move it around. It also hurts. Could this be something from the operation or is it something else?

I'm no dental expert, but she should go get it looked at by her dentist. It sounds almost like it could be an abcess, but again, I don't know about these things. Best bet would be to have a professional look at it, and then if something needs to be done from there, you'll have an answer you can trust.

It could also be a small bone fragment. The dentist that did her oral surgery should have removed the fragment after removing the tooth, but it's possible he didnt see it.
