For some reason for the past month, when I sleep in late on weekends, I'll sometimes wake up with an extreme urge to urinate. I guess my body doesn't give the signal to get up and go, or I ignore it without realizing it. This usually causes a tender abdomen that will go away within the day. This happened last Saturday, and since then, my abdomen, namely in my pelvic area, has felt tender. It feels uncomfortable to sit a certain way. When I poke at an area on my right side, just beneath my ribcage, it feels slightly tender. I also sometimes feel like I have a sort of weight in my abdomen, right above my pelvis. I haven't felt sick or thrown up or anything, and I have been checking my temperature twice a day since then. All readings turn out under 98 degrees. Urine seems fine as well; it hasn't hurt to urinate and I haven't seen any abnormal colors. Period ended yesterday as well.
Is it possible that I have an infection, and am not showing symptoms other than the occasional discomfort and pain? Does this merit a doctor's appointment as soon as possible, or should I wait to see if I develop any other symptoms? I do plan on using my alarm clock on the weekends so I can get myself on a bit of a schedule after this ordeal. :D
