Hi,
I am a 35 year old male with healthy teeth. 6 months ago one of my wisdom teeth broke above the gum and the filing came out. I put off going to the dentist for financial reasons. A week later it started hurting very bad. With the help of over the counter stuff it soon stopped. For about 4 mos. I have noticed small amount of blood comes out of the middle of the tooth. I am going to the dentist soon. If this is infected could I pass anything to my wife. I am wondering because she has aquired a urinary tract infection. Could this infection be transmitted through oral sex. This is the second infection she has had in approx. 2 months. The first was treated with antibiotics from the doctor. I would just feel terrible if I was the cause. My wife and I other wise are very healthy. Thanks for reading and for any advise you could give.

Any type of infection can be passed on to others. I suggest you see a doctor or a dentist right away. You really need some advice from an expert. If your wife is getting these infections she to should check with a health clinic-they are cheaper. Both of you need to be treated to completely stop the risk of passing this back and forth. Call your local health dept. I am sure they can give you some help at a lower cost.
