I work in Manhattan and take the train everyday no fun with anxiety at all sometimes I'm ok sometimes not well yesterday I was feeling axious before I left work I drank coffee yesterday morning big mistake anyway I usually have to wear sunglasses and walkman of course when I leave work it's dark so I'll look like a total freak if I wear sunglasses. I had the sweaty palms and feet I don't feel well if I sit still and I feel better if I cross my legs anyone else feel this way. I was going to pop a xanax but I kept telling myself I'll make it home I also have to sit on the end near the door I can't sit in the middle of seat. I also fidget at my desk took expecially when someone is talking to me that is torture.

Hi, you have my sympathy. I live in England. I sometimes have to get the bus to work. Its really horrid. I'm constantly looking at the traffic queues hoping that the bus will soon arrive, or if not I will have to ask the driver to stop and let me get off. I always have some plan, I'm pregnant and need the air (even though I'm not). Have you tried doing relaxation excercises or yoga. Yoga is supposed to be really good. Not got round to pluck the courage up to go though. Might have to esape from there too! Take care.

I fidget and twirl my hair when im out (not that often) and especially when im in company. I seem to keep moving around in my seat. Just the other day i was sat with a friend and was 'jigging about' and she asked what was wrong, i of course made the excuse that my back was hurting and i couldnt get comfy. I even fidget when im driving (i just dont do public transport - too freaky for me).
But my worst thing is the hair twirling, i wrap my hair tightly round my fingers and then start chewing it - gross i know, then wonder why ive always got a headache and my hairs splitting.... crazy, i contemplate having my hair cut short, but now its even started to develope a ringlet effect with the amount of twisting and turning i put it through- gives a whole new meaning to a 'home perm'.
