I had to have a CAT Scan on my chest and abdomen after seeing an hematologist because I have raised lymph nodes in my armpits and groin. My blood tests appear "reassuring" he said on the last visit but said that he is requesting a CAT scan which is a deeper scan. Had that done last week, and today had another letter from the hospital saying that my hematologist has requested for me to have a Ultrasound scan on my abdomen. I have an appointment to talk over the results tomorrow, but does this seem anything to worry about? He mentioned nothing about having an ultrasound scan, but just a CAT Scan. Any comments would be appreciated.

I was asked to return for an ultrasound once when something suspicious came back on a mammagram. The ultrasound led to a biopsy, which thankfully was benign. I remember being scared when I got that letter. I can only imagine that you are scared. Best wishes to you!
