bedrock4113 11-25-2005, 02:25 PM 123312412423 mishkaaa 11-25-2005, 03:23 PM headaches are very common with anxiety. at times i thought my head was going to explode it hurt so bad! i went for an mri, nothing was wrong, i am fine. i have an 'incidental' pineal brain cyst - which are usually totally benign and have no affect whatsoever on headaches. mine is about the size of a top of a pen cap. as for the floaters, i get them too! i've gotten them A LOT recently. i went to the opthamologist just to make sure nothing was wrong with my eyes, and i'm fine .. just some normal floaters. my psych said floaters are normal, expecially for people with anxiety bedrock4113 11-25-2005, 03:37 PM 1431231241241 mishkaaa 11-25-2005, 05:11 PM thanks for your reply...what have you done to treat your anxiety? i'm kind of scared of getting hooked on paxil but i feel like there is little else i can do... well i'll give you a little bit of backround .. i've always been very prone to anxiety even as a little kid, and i'm 17 now. it recently got worse lately due to the deaths of my friend eddy being killed by a drunk driver, my grandmother dying, and my friend ryan dying of cancer. so with all of these events happening in less than a year, i guess it was bound to have some sort of affect on me besides sadness at one point or another. i started seeing a psych in september .. didn't like her, and switched to a new one, which i began seeing last week. i don't do much to keep my anxiety down .. i mean, i work to keep myself busy and occupied, but i also have OCD so sometimes it's hard. i haven't started any medication yet but i'm sure that's what's gonna be not too far down the line. good luck! mishkaaa 11-25-2005, 05:12 PM also, with the paxil, you shouldn't become addicted to it. people with anxiety usually do not have addictive personalities. as long as you take your paxil as your doctor directs you to, once you start feeling better for a long period of time on it you will most likely be weaned off it, and you'll be fine! :) keep your head up! |
