Today I was lifting a heavy box from the ground and when I picked it up and started to walk up the stairs, I noticed "sparkles" around the edges of my vision. They only lasted about 10 seconds but I thought it was strange. I have no other symptoms and have previously been examined by a retinal specialist (at my request) who told me no risk for detachment other than I am nearsighted. Does this sound normal?

Sounds like a change in blood pressure to me.

Thanks Torre-that's what my Mom said it probably was. With all the stuff I see in my vision it's hard to figure out whats normal and what isn't.
