I wouldn't say a hot cigarette with me but on the left side, following the path of the descending colon. Like you I had a B/E which came up clear. Spastic colon is, after all, one one of the eufemisms for IBS. For me it is more of a drilling ache, but it first introduced itself with a couple of stabbing pains in the sigmoid colon. The drill has been a bit higher up for the last few days. I am about to begin experimenting with foods to see which are the worst. There are a whole bunch of IBS diets on the Web to try. Some women have success with Zelnorm.

For so long I have been thinking something was wrong with my left ovary. Is that what a lot of people (I guess women out there) are feeling, that it is right close to where your ovary would be? I know that there are times that my gyn will touch my left ovary and there isn't anything wrong, but that area is very tender. My left-sided pain I can actually feel like something is traveling down my I guess colon and then it gets to a certain point on the left side and then I double over in pain.
