I will talk to my Dr about this but just wanted to get other opinions. I've been taking Wellbutrin for about 3 months now, before that I took Fluoxitine for about 6 years. I went through a withdrawl and I think that triggered the depression through the summer after quiting talking Hydrocodone at night for awhile, which at that time my Dr switched me to Wellbutrin which works ok, but still get periods of some depression and some anxiety. No side effects with wellbutrin except loss of appetite and queezzy stomach during the day, usually feel better at night. For the 6 years I took the 20mg of Fluoxitine, it seem to worked pretty good.
I'm wondering if I should ask my Dr to put me back on the Fluoxitine, maybe 40mg, if I do this, will he probably have me gradually tapper back on the Wellbutrin and start the Fluoxitine?
Previously when I swithed from the Fluoxitine to the Wellbutrin, he had me just stop one and start the other. Would it be the same going back to the Fluoxitine? How does that work?
