My Doctor told me i had Mild IBS even though it doesnt feel mild due to the pain

So isnt there any like treatment for it as for a while ive been feeling sick which comes back every 4hours and my stomach pain is bad at least twice a week not much but it really hurts

What can i have or take

At the moment im using my 50Mg Tramadol Pain relief tablets for it even they are for my head injury

so im just generally confused my doctor didnt say anything just said i had it so what is it and can i do about it?

First of all a doc can't really tell you if you have IBS without certain tests. You need to see a gastro doc and get a real diagnosis. Don't worry about offending your doc by asking for a referral this is your health and quaulity of life your talking about.

You also don't mention if your a C (constipated) or D (having Diarehha) (Never could spell it) or your an A (Altenating) where you have both. That would be a big help to those wanting to help with suggestions.

The biggest suggestions I have either way is start paying attention to what triggers your problem. I had to go the whole way to eating just rice and adding things in until I fiqured it out. The other thing is we all should be on a soluible fiber suppliment like Metemucil or citrucel or any of the many others out there. It helps by bulking up your stool if your a D and it helps by making you more regular if your a C. Start slow! With a teaspoon and work your way up. You may have to try more then one until you find what works for you. If you do try a suppliment, increase your water intake it helps the fiber work.

Well my other doctor gave me some laxative because my bowel seems to be loaded but not pushing out the blocked waste but the waste is still there so dunno what to do
