i had exams at school for 2 weeks and got out of shape because i studied 24/7 (well, actually 20/7 and 4 hours of sleep..) so I gained 4 lbs and now I've lost 2 since then which was like 1 1/2 weeks ago. But I also got out of shape at the gym so I started training hard again cos I wanted to get back into it A.S.A.P. but now I hurt my ankle but I feel so eugghh and my birthday is coming up so I wanna go do my bodysteps tomorrow my ankle hurts tho... like its on the front outer side...if you get what I mean. Stepping, bad idea? The other option is the elliptical but that's where I got the injury from I think... or maybe I got it from dancing on real high heels.. I don't know, it's just strained I guess. But come on I just took a 2 week break, and after that the week after I hardly went to the gym because after the first day I could hardly move my muscles were that sore, so now I wanna like go everyday again!! But my ankle hurts and I don't wanna injure it... so how bout it?

Be very careful with an injured ankle. If you keep aggrivating an injury it will take *forever* to heal. Elipticals or stationary bikes are usually okay for ankle injuries. Maybe swimming (if you have access to an indoor pool). I'd avoid running or aerobics.

Agree with Naxis. Ankles are bad. I injured ligaments in my ankle, didn't bother to take any precaustions and then had re-occuring pain for about 2 years before i finally got it sorted out. If the pain lasts for much longer, I'd go check it out at a sports physio or doctor, but in the mean time try to avoid any impact training.
Swimming would be the best as it's a full body cardio workout + muscle toner and is very friendly to the joints. Otherwise just take it easy on the other machines Naxis mentioned and stop if you get any further pain in the ankle.

Thanks... it's like 0 degrees outside so I don't really feel like swimming... but our gym has an indoor pool so I guess since I don't wanna press my injury I'll do that. Thanks for the idea!! I never thought of this since I never swim there (I don't like getting wet lol..).
