I saw the doc this a.m. He went ahead and had me cut back to one drop per day of the steroid drops. He said next week, (Thurs.) to come in, and he will laser out the folds in the new lens. He said, and I can see it myself, that the folds are still there, and would affect my vision causing an inaccurate fit in glasses, then I would just have to turn around and get more. So, this is good really, to get the "iron out" done, so I can be accurately fitted with specks.

Tony, I am glad he is so knwledgeable and will be able to fix the problem easily. You'll be seeing clearly in no time! What is the recovery for the laser procedure?

Howdy, Sis Purple Elyse! Well, I don't guess there is a recovery time for that, or at least he didn't say. He talked like there is nothing to it-just sit, and it takes a few seconds, then it's done.
How's your eyes a-doin'?

My eyes are just as crappy as ever, but it's just what I expect. :( They are goopy and schmutzy itchy as usual.

Hey Tony,
Glad you will be able to get the wrinkle ironed out next week. Sounds like with the lowering of the drops you are close to being all healed up. It'll be nice when you can get some glasses that you can use for a good long time.
IF that laser is anything like I had when they lasered a hole in my lens capsule, it's just as quick as you described. And by the time you leave the office you should be good to go. Do you have to have someone else drive you there? Do they have to dialate the pupil for that? I can't remember all the details when I had it done so long ago.
Anyway keep that good news a-coming!

I won't be going to the eye Dr. this week due to being ill, plus a major Artic storm in the area at that time. I don't really need my eyes or sinuses out in 22 degree weather, 22 being the "high" for the day.
I guess the blue left and amber right eye will remain. I have seen no change. I saw this talked about on a cataract site a while back. The opthalmologist answering the question about this said that the unoperated eye is like having blue blockers on. In other words, it looks like I thought, there will be a slight difference until the other eye is corrected at such a time it would be advanced enough to fix. It's not noticable most of the time, with both eyes open which is good, but I wish they were both the same.
The spasms are better for now, but I've had some this past week. I am seeing another ent the 19th who uses botox to help this, or at least I think he does.
I'm pretty out of it tonight, and feel rough, so will go for now.
