I had an outbreak of swollen glands with a period 4 months ago. Since then I have pain in my armpit and bicep. The glands on one side have went away but they are still there although very small on the side with pain. It used to come and go but for the past 3 weeks it's constant. No feelings of lumps in breast anywhere. I do have breast discharge (milky and out of two ducts) on that side as well. Left over from nursing I'm told. I also get tingly, cold arm and fingers. I wake up and it's asleep. It's all worse during my period and when I wear a bra. My dad's sister had breast cancer last year. So this makes my anxiety all the more worse. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I'm in my early 30's so they tell me too young for a mammo to really show anything. Please, help! My kids need a calm mommy, not the emotional one I've turned into. Thank you.

I've never heard of what you describe as symptoms of breast cancer, but I'm not a Dr., just a breast cancer patient. I was diagnosed at 25 and was also told that I was not a candidate for a mammo -- I demanded an ultrasound which ended up revealing the tumors that the mammo may not have. Ask your Dr for an ultrasound so you can find out what's going on and put your mind to rest!
