I have a 14 month old daughter who is literally a nursing junkie. I just found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant. I've read a bit about tandem nursing but am wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. I thought about just weaning her now but she refuses to take a bottle from me and definitely needs something for her naps. I don't want to wait too long to wean her but don't want to hurry it up if its unneccesary. Your thoughts are appreciated!

I wouldn't rush to wean. I know plenty of women who have tandem nursed with great results. Also, sometimes children wean themselves because either the milk changes taste or starts to change over to colostrum. Then they often pick back up once the baby arrives.

I've heard that the milk does change. That would be helpful. She will be 2 when the baby is born so I don't want to wait too long to wean and then have her traumatized by not only no nursing but by a new baby. have you heard that nursing while pregnant can cause you to miscarriage?
