View Full Version : Help! Narrow top bite

I had braces when I was a teen and had really straight teeth afterwards, that is until my wisdom teeth came through and pushed them all.

They are not so crooked that I am going to get them done again, the main problem is my teeth are sort of squashed up and my top bite is now very narrow, not nice and wide anymore.

I got 4 widsoms out recently and does anyone know if there is some device that can make the top bit wide again? I really can't afford lot's of cosmetic dentisty or (ugh) braces again. I have heard there is some sort of rod that is placed on your palate and it widens up your mouth.

Does anyone know anything about it?

You can actually use a retainer which is much cheaper than braces. Thats what I did and I only wore it at night.

or you can ask an orthodontist about a pallet expander.
