Did anyones baby's eye color change around or after 6 months? DD has a really pretty dark grey color and I am hoping it stays. DH has a dark brown but mine are a very light blue so it may be a transition to brown.

The only one in either of our families with blue eyes was my grandfather but his were a lighter blue. DH and I have brown, 3 of our 4 parents have hazel and the other has brown. My other DD is 10 years old and had blue eyes for a few years before they looked green with some things she wore and blue with others. Around 4-6 years old, they turned hazel and have been hazel since. Everyone I know whose babies have brown eyes turned before or around 6 months. Your baby might keep the blue if you have blue eyes. I think our DD's are eventually going to turn hazel like her sister's did but they're really cute blue for now. Kiera1595 12-01-2005, 09:56 AM DS's blue eyes turned brown around 4 months. DD's dark blue eyes keep getting lighter by the day (9 months) I once had a pediatrician tell me that when parents asked when a kid's eyes would finally settle on a color he joking tells them 18, because you never know. 2fast4u 12-01-2005, 10:49 AM My sister had blue eyes and then they turned green when she was 5. DS is almost 6 months and his eyes are greenish around the pupil but dark blue around the outside. My husband has green and I have a grayish blue color, they usually takes the hue of what I wear. Ours are exact opposite I have the dark brown eyes and my dh has the light blue, our dd has blue eyes and now new ds has dark grey eyes. I am hoping they go brown myself. roxyfoxy 12-02-2005, 01:14 PM I was shocked to see my baby boy with blue eyes and blonde hair at birth. My husband is turkish so I really expected the darker features. Low and behold, he looks like me. Personally I don't think they will change, he's only 3 weeks and his eyes are bluer (if that's a word). I know they "could" change, but he looks like me and my brothers when we were babies, and we didn't change at all. DontAsk 12-05-2005, 11:41 AM I hope my sons dont change! He is 5 weeks and his are a greyish/dark blue! They are so cute on him. DH has brown eyes and I have a greenish/yellow. He is biracial so it looks sooo cute on him! :D |
