Hi,
I'm a 42 year old female. I've had a red patch of skin where my leg meets my groin. I've had it for over a month and thought nothing of it. Well, yesterday I felt under it and I have a hard lump. It didnt hurt. It's a little bigger than a pea and round.
I got a doc appt yesterday afternoon. He thought it was a folicule problem and put me on antibiotics. My questions for you, since you may know more about Lymphoma than me is this:
Wouldnt an infected folucule hurt? This doesnt.
Doc said that Lymphomas dont usually present with a red patch of skin. I told him it was redder than normal because I had been poking at it all day. Of course, I'm scared.

Hi, first of all, i'm ever so sorry to hear that you are having these troubles. I myself have enlarged lymph nodes that are painless, but do not have any red patches of skin. From what i've been told by the Hematologist that i'm seeing, just ensure you aren't showing any typical lymphoma symptoms, such as, drenching night sweats and so on. Do you feel sick at all, or are you losing weight? I've been told to keep an open mind with my lymph nodes at the moment with regards to mine being lymphoma or something benign. Last time I was weighed, I dramatically lost weight. Getting back to your query, just keep checking and if you have any further problems, i'd go and see your GP again and ask to be referred to a specialist in this area. If you could let me know how you are feeling generally, I may be able to give you some more advice. I hope everything goes well, and you feel more at ease soon.
Take care,
Take care,
