OK guys, any ideas?
Immediately after I eat, especially in a restaurant, doesn't matter what meal of the day, what I order, or how expensive restaurant is, I can barely find a bathroom soon enough. (diarrhea) This just started SEVERELY this summer. At one point, I had diarhea for 2 weeks. I have not lost weight, but have actually gained! I have gas and my stomach is horribly bloated like I'm 9 months pregnant. I've never had a belly in my life! Clothes are very uncomfortable. I have had all kinds of blood and stool tests, thyroid, ultrasounds, and a hida scan. All come back negative. I am miserable and this obviously affects my lifestyle and work! When I'm wearing pants or a skirt, you can see the bloat looks a little more pronounced on the right side.

It sounds like your friendly intestinal bacteria is out of balance and needs to be re-balanced.
You can eat a good brand of yogurt several times daily and take a probiotic to help re-establish your good friendly flora~~~

Hi Bells,
Have you had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy (upper)? You might want to have one from your gastroenterologist. I am surprised that it has not already been done! In the mean time, do like Harry says - Yogurt and a product call Dan Active (10 x strong as the yogurt cultures), and also there are pills that help you digest works!
I hope you get some relief.

Thanks for suggestions, guys. I forgot to mention I DID have a colonoscopy--that came back fine also and there is no IBS. Seems incredible, doesn't it?

I was under the impression that IBS doesn't always show up on colonoscopy but it more a case of symptoms. You should have an endo also. You might try eliminating all dairy(opposite of what others are telling you) I was just taken off all dairy, fresh fruits and veggies for my touchy stomach. Especially the dairy he said and I have never had a lactic acid problem before. Yogurt about kills me with gas.

Hi there
Have you been tested for coeliac disease. I had similar symptons to yours ie. couldn,t find a toilet quick enough. Have been on a gluten free diet for two years, those symptoms disappear very quickly when on a gluten free diet. You should go to your doctor and ask to be tested

My cousin has had the same problem and he started using something called PB8 acidophaoulous and it has helped tremendously. My husband had the same thing but he only got it when he ate out. Never at home though he did go a lot in the AM. The only thing different was when we were out for breakfast or lunch he did not have a drink. When we went out for dinner he had a couple drinks and it never happened. Same at home. I think it was some sort of relaxant that stopped the spasms. There definetly was a connection. Also good to get gall bladder checked as his was a mess.

Not really I went through all of these test and found out I had celiac sprue disease. At the time it seemed like the end of the world but over the last 5 years it has become no big problem. If this is what you have ( a simple endoscopy will tell them ) you will have to stay on a Gluten free diet for the rest of your life ( no grains ie wheat, rye, barley, hops, oats, ) among other things. Please post here what you find out I will be more than happy to help any way I can. I have been living with celiac for 5 years now and it's not as bad as it first seems :)
