I have been having a variety of symptoms for quite a while. I never even thought of MS until I was looking around on the internet. The symtom I am wondering about is lhermittes sign. I have for the last few years gotten a stange feeling down my neck and top of my back. It can happen any time, not just when I'm bending over. Almost sounds in my head like water pouring. This combined with shaking hands alot...blurry vision...odd pains in my knees and at times in my arm. They get bad, I am ready to make a doctor appointment to get it checked out, and then it stops. Sorry to go on and on. I realize I just need to get to see a doctor, but any input would be great....especially if what I describe sounds like lhermittes to anyone.

thank you so much.

Welcome to the board, Jenny! As far as the lhermittes sign... I did experience that symptom for quite some time. It seems to have gone away now due to treatment, but my experience with it always came with the bending of my neck. I am not sure if it can occur withouth flexion of the neck, but anything's possible! You are right... you should see a doctor. Even if the symptoms have gone away by the time the appointment comes, chances are, if it is MS, there will still be signs that show up in the neurological exam that could lead to further testing. I actually went to my primary care physcian last May complaining of intense pain in my knees, and stiffness after walking for awhile. I thought maybe it was arthritis (even though I was only 20). So they ordered the standard x-rays which came back normal. He then ordered and MRI and referred me to a neurologist to cover all bases. Turns out... my symptoms started to increase and I was showing the tell tale signs of MS a few months later. So even though I brushed it off and it took me awhile to make an appt. for the pain and stiffness in my knees... it was an important decision. So I urge you to do the same and get to the bottom of the symptoms you are having! Good luck to you
