Hi everyone,

I continue to be so grateful for these boards. EVERY SYMPTOM that I have experienced has been mentioned in various posts on this board. That being said, I finally feel I am "settling in" to this time of life, and feel that my health anxiety has calmed down a little. When the symptoms hit so hard last February, I thought I had every disease known to man, and my doctor (he is so sweet) was and is really trying to help. All of you here have experienced every wierd symptom that I have had--amazing!

The thing that is really bothering me now are the constant trips to the bathroom during the night. It really disrupts my sleep, and I work full-time. The doctor had me come for a urine culture, since I had a bladder infection recently, and he wants to make sure it is cleared up. Could these many trips to the bathroom during the night be part of peri?? Anyone else have this??

Thanks gals--you are all such troopers and you've been so helpful to me!!

Multiple trips to the restroom is another sign of perimenopause. I had multiple bladder infections and never connected it to perimenopause. Then I was making 3-5 trips to the restroom every night which definitely affected how I felt in the morning.

The nurse at the ob/gyn office told me that the first thing to go when women start aging is their bladder :).

Lynn,

I know what you mean. I just started on this board and I already have relaxed. I wish it hadn't taken me so long to find everyone. I too thought I had every disease known to man. I have had foot buzzing and I was sure no one had ever heard of this and they would reply that I needed to get back to the Dr. because I was dying. Instead I got responses that let me known that others have had this as well. In Fact one lady told me to do a search on the boards and what to do know. There were many with the very same complaint. I think I felt the weight and stress start to lift off my shoulders right then. I think maybe I might be "settling in" as well!

I'm sure there will be other symptoms that will scare. But I can assure that before I let it consume me I will be posting on this board. Take care and thanks for letting me share.

Bonnie

Hi Bonnie and Hopefully,

Thanks for your replies!

Bonnie: The foot buzzing has been constant for me the last couple of days, and today I am also having ankle pain, really bad cramps and am flowing heavily this time. I have noticed that when I lay down on the couch in the evenings, the creepy crawlies under the skin start. Strange that lying down brings that symptom on... I've had low energy today, and have had so much to do. If I can, I'm going to take my usual 2 mile walk, and then settle in for the night, beginning with old Bonanza episodes! (exciting, huh?) You can rest assured that whatever symptoms you have now or will begin to have, we have all had them too!!

Hopefully: I feel a little better knowing that I am not the only one running to the bathroom so many times during the night. My doctor doesn't like hearing that because he knows it is really robbing me of sleep. I think next week when I find out about the urine culture results, he may prescribe something to help with these bladder issues. By the way...my mom said that as long as I am having periods, I am still young! In all honesty, I don't feel young today!!

Have a restful evening gals...

Lynn
