It has been two months since I got a partial plate with two teeth on the right and three on the left and it still feels like I have a foreign object in my mouth. They fit fine and I have no pain but the happiest time of my day is when I yank it out at night. Just how long will it take before they become part of me or will they forever feel strange?

I have had one for 30 years--you get used to it after about 6 months

It took me a couple of years to be able to accept the fact that this thing was going to be in my mouth the rest of my life. I couldn't afford permanent bridges, so the partial is what the next option was. Its still hard, and still embarrassing...I don't want anyone to know!! I did get used to the feeling of it......or just was able to accept it! Good luck!!
