Just wondering how that goes cause my first time i am getting highlights and wonder how often you have to get them retouched or done over? Is it like months? Also is it as much as it would be with a whole head of hair to get it done or to get retouched is it cheaper? Sorry just confused LOL

Hi. I try to stretch my highlights to every four months.. My hair is naturally dark blonde and I have it highlighted with bleach and I use the cap which is less exepnsive. I would prefer to do it every 3 months, but I cannot afford it!

I have blond hair and have lighter (bleach) highlights. I'll get a "full" hightlights done (they highlight all the hair). My next appointment, I'll get a "half-head" done. This is when they only do the top/sides and leave the underside. It's much cheaper to do a "half-head".
So, I alternate between "full" and "half" every 3 months.

I'm a little obsessive about my roots showing, so I get a "halo" (where they do the part on top, and all around the sides) every month and a half, and then I'll get a full highlight where they do everything about every four months.

I get foils, and I have large strips of both blonde and redish brown going through my hair so that is probably the reason why I have to get it done so much. When I used to get only skinny strips of blonde through the cap, I could go MUCH longer before a touchup, usually like 3 or 4 months.

I have short hair, and do the blonde highlights, which I have done about every 3 months, only because after a couple of haircuts the highlights are gone!
I get full head highlights, usually through the cap, although I have had the foil, it took a lot longer and cost more. Although I like the results with the cap the best. It costs me $45-$50 when I have the highlights.
