I was reading the other day that eczema, like many other things can be controlled or gotten rid of with diet. The stuff was based on the fact that eczema isn't only skin deep but cause by yeast, candida (i think thats right) to be more specific. I was wondering if anyone has tried diet to control this, because frankly it's been to long and annoying and cortozon creams are useless. So if anyone has suggestion, comments, tips, I would be greatful. :bouncing:

my 18 year old daughter has suffered with this since birth.. Hereditary on my hubby side. I switched all my foods to organic and her skin has cleared up significantly. She still hangs out with friends at those chain restaurants but for the most part she eats organic foods. Also when she gets a tan her skins is the most clear and the dermotolgist recommended tanning bed for this. She is not one that likes to tan so we are looking into alternatives. I cannot get her to eat fish rich in omega so i sneak fish oil in her salads and that has helped. You can try Kefir milke from what I have read it clears up candida. Or try a candida cleanse..Lisa

...many people do not understand that adverse effetcs we have from inflammation and the foods and toxins that cause it..I read a few books on a diet to stop this. One book is "Stop the Inflammation Now" Great book. I have incorporated alot of the foods in my diet that are in that book. I just saw a seminar on this same subject by Dr Nicholas Perrichone..Lisa

this is how i got rid of mine......
2 table spoons of flaxseed oil daily (it took a few month to get the full benifits from it)
2 acidophilius capsuals daily (this restores all the good bacteria on your stamach)
evening primrose oil
limit stress as this really aggravates the condition, i know its a vicious circle - the eczema makes you stressed - the stress brings on the eczema but you really do have to break it, im actually on meds what help me deal with the stress
get plenty of rest and good sleep
get tested for allegies
get a colonic - cleans all the crap your system
excercise - really helps with stress
eat a good diet - plenty of fish eg salmon for the oils, fruit and veg, chicken, avocados are good too. so are walnuts. you need to eat foods which contain good oils for your skin. swap tea and coffee for herbal tea. basically just eat foods that are going to nutritionly benifit you, limit crap
limit diary and red meat, dont eat lemons
drink lots of water
limit alchohol and dont smoke
these are all of the things i did and i suffered badly with it for years! my skin is now so nice and eczema free!!!! its better than its ever been and this is every thing i do.
if you wana know anything else just ask :)
