Ok ladies,
I'm not for sure how to actually ask this question. But here it goes. Has anyone else had a foul ordo coming from, well, you know where? I don't have a discharge, or no itching or burning. Nothing, but just a foul odor!!!! Even after I got out of the shower tonight. This is really starting to upset me. I don't know if it has anything to do with this Menopause or what. I don't go back to my doctor until Friday. If anyone has any answers, please let me know. I didn't mean to be so blunt.

I'm glad you're going to see a doctor. But now let me ask you a weird question. Is it possible that you left a tampon inside from your last period? I don't know how far along you are into meno, but I know I left a tampon in once and it was awful. Once I figured out what it was, I just pulled it out (gross) and I was fine. Sorry if I grossed you out. :D Other than that, I have no idea what could be causing the odor without a discharge.

Well, there's really no nice way to talk about stuff like this. HaHa!!! But anyway, no I haven't had a period since 98. I had a hysterectomy. The smell isnt like something that has died, it's just like a odor. I cant describe it. But anymore suggestions is very much welcome. And no, you didnt gross me out.

I also had a hysterectomy in 98 so I have not had a period since then. I sometimes do have a foul odor though, with no discharge, the only way to describe it would be like an ammonia kinda smell. Don't know why, it comes and goes. Hope this helps.

It could be a type of infection (even without the discharge). As embarassing as it is, don't pass up the opportunity to talk about it with your Dr. on Friday.

Thanks ladies. I was kinda embarrassed at first to even mention it, but now, I just feel like you ladies are family. Yes, I will make sure I tell her about it Friday. She started me on the Estroven patches, and I do believe they have stopped the hot flashes. And I am also sleeping at night now. Thank God!!!! It hasn't helped the anxiety, or the mood swings, but maybe she can give me something else for those. Thanks for your inputs!!!

wvangel, I would recommend Omega 3 (fish oil) for the anxiety. I was having some panic attacks and started on the Flax, Fish, borage oil. I get it at Wal MArt so it has been inexpensive. It has really helped.
