Hi. I wonder if anyone here could tell me what "hardening of the large intestine" might be. Does that have anything to do with scleroderma?

My husband went to the doctor last week and is scheduled for a lower GI on the 13th. The doctor mentioned this to him but my husband was afraid to ask exactly what was meant by that.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
