Have always had a bit of and irritable bowel since my mother died 17years ago.
Was just wondering if any of you suffered with lower back pain when your IBS is playing up.
Not sure if its that or not.
Thanks for your help

I'm wondering the same thing...I've had IBS..well, for as long as I can remember...I remember guzzling Keopektate (sp) every morning before elementary school...

and recently, I've developed pretty severe lower back pain with no outside stimuli to account for it...I too was wondering if perhaps it's associated pain from the IBS...Interested to see other views here!

I have had IBS for almost a year now and my lower back hurts constantly. Never have found out the reason why though...I am sure it is associated with IBS in some way or another.

I assume I have IBS although I haven't been formally diagnosed, and I have wild back pain with it. So bad that I am sometimes laid up in bed for 3-5 days. I think it comes from massive amounts of gas that is trapped and can't get out.
