Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Since being on yasmin i have a period that lasts 2 days at the most! Its not even a real period, its so light i could just use a panty liner if i wanted.
So do u think this is normal? I dont like it...it makes me feel like there is something wrong..im 19 and went on the pill (a different one) when i was 16 because i had irregular periods and had a boyfriend. So..im thinking that maybe i should just come off the pill? Can it damage me? Most people would love these light periods but it doesnt feel healthy to me!
Any replies would be great, thanks

The pill is supposed to lighten the flow of your period and shorten the duration of your period. It's nothing to worry about.

im going on to my 3rd month of yasmin and the same thing is happening to me. but the thing is, a person that is not on birth control has different levels of hormones throughout the month. these hormones cause the lining in our uterus to thicken to prepare for a possible pregnancy that month. in our case (birth control users) the amount of hormone in our body remains constant because of the pills, and therefore the lining doesnt build up as much. so basically, its normal and very common - its not harming your body. if anything, it helps prevent against uterine cancer. =P hope i wasnt rambling. good luck
