Hello djl! Thanks for thinking of me! I have not been on in quite a while. I currently have a nephew living with me so have been quite busy.

Things are going well except for I am having some hot flashes. Nothing surprising, just getting adjusted to new hormones. I have changed to 'BIEST' drops and also progesterone drops. It is an all natural alternative and is suppose to be identical to what our bodies produce. 'human identical hormone replacement'. We'll see how it goes. I have been on it for a few weeks, but turns out I was doing it wrong, lol. Figures. My poor husband is always curled up in blankets because he says it is freezing in here, but yet I sit sweating like crazy! :eek: Haha, i have no idea what he is talking about....

How is everything for you? I will try to be back more often again now. I've actually missed these boards!

Good to here from yah, and glad you are doing well.

I am still on Estroderm 0.05 mg but the doc said I could use it 3x a week instead of 2x a week since it is such a low dosage. I am also on Xanax for the anxiety and the mood swings...boy have I been a B!!!! :rolleyes: Real bad day today !! :bouncing: LOL
My poor hubby...I know what you mean about your hubby with all the covers...I am constantly sweating at night and I sleep with no clothes on to be comfortable and still have to have the covers half off me because I am so darn hot!!!!!

Hey djl! Sorry its been so long since I've been around!

I can SO relate to the B*! I am not really pleasant to be around either. I go in again soon to have my hormone levels checked and then we'll see what adjusting needs done. The surgery recovery was nothing compared to these hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. Does the xanax help? I am also having a lot of insomnia, which probably sucks the most!

It's so funny though because men are usually so much warmer than women...but NOW, we'll be sitting in the living room and he's so cold he has so drag a comforter out and wrap up in it and I am still sitting under a fan! Our ceiling fan is on a remote control so I can adjust the speed without having to move...i'm sure I'm gonna burn the motor out before summer! It really sucks.....

That said...

I STILL don't regret having the surgery though. I have alot less pain in my back and legs (neuropathy) and less trouble with my restless legs too! So no its just getting the hormones under control....I wish I'd known it could take so long! Owell...you take the good with the bad I suppose.

Yes, the xanax does seem to help.

I know what you mean about how the men are always warmer then the women, but yes, boy has that changed !!
I still suffer on and off, but it has seem to have gotten better. It could also be that it has finaly snowed here in NY and the cold is helping. Who knows.
I have a feeling it is gonna be a rough summer. It was rough for me last summer.
I cant beleive it has been 9 months since my hyst.
I see my OB on the 27th this month.
And I am still a major B !!!!!!!

last week for some reason I just could not stop crying..it was pathetic. Day and night, eveything made me cry. So I am gonna try taking the xanax 3x a day like my script says. I have only been taking it when I felt I was having an attack. Hopefuly taking it 3x a day will help me more.

I tell yah it is AMAZING not being in pain !! Sometimes I think it is all just a great dream and I am gonna wake up in horrible pain again !! I thought I could never feel pain free !! It is so awsome!!!!!!!!!

deffinately NO REGRETS here...I would do this surgery 10x over to feel this good !!!
