Anyone here experience hair loss after a couple months of injecting? My BETA nurse was here a few nights ago and I asked her about it, she told me that about 3-4% of people complain of it as a side effect. So of course... if it's a rare occurance, you know I have it haha. She recommended Selenium? which I think is some kind of mineral? It is found in some shampoos and can be taken in pill form as well. But yes... in the shower my hair falls out so much more and of course when brushing. It's not noticable in patches or anything on my head, but it is obviously thinning my hair. So I think I am going to cut a few inches off, right now its in the middle of my back... but I might cut it to my shoulders to hopefully lessen the problem. Anyone else dealing with this, or know when it will stop? Thanks... Take care :angel:

yes,, my hair was falling out alot,, i blamed the solumedrol,, but i had the solumedrol at the same time i started the betaseron,, my neuro suggest the selenium,, and i bought some at walmart and have been taking it now for almost a yr,,,, it took about 6 months,, but my hair doesn;t fall out as much anymore,,, i have really thick hair,, so it wasn;t noticable to ppl who looked at me,, but it was coming out by the handfuls. so get urself some selenium it really does work!

Thanks Natatude! The selenium... is it in a shampoo or is there a pill? My BETA nurse mentioned that it is in head and shoulders brand, but is there a specific selenium shampoo? Or again... is there a pill? Im pretty sure she said there was one, but I dont remember. Thanks!

what i take is in pill form,,, i get it in the vitamins section of walmart,,, i use pantene pro-v shampoo and never looked to see if it was in there,,, cause he never told me it was in shampoo just told me to get in, in a vitamin store.
