And how can you feel for lumps when your breasts already are lumpy around the nipple area? I have several small lumps all around and under my nipple area so how would I know if they are changing or new ones since ther seems to be so many? I have had these for years now.

If you have been doing self-breast exams then you know what "normal" feels and looks like for you. It's when you find something that is not something you ordinarily feel/see that lasts for more than a cycle or two (hormones cause breast changes) that you need to worry about it.
