I'm wondering for those of you who have had the surgery, what other health problems did/do you have?
I'm scheduled for surgery this coming Wednesday.
Where do you doctor? Who did your surgery and where?
How old are you?
Do you feel your surgeon was skilled/qualified to do the surgery and are you happy with the outcome?

i had the surgery i live in maine i am 37 and no im am not happy with the outcome my life is worse than it was before i have spam's in my esophagus now the gas problem's are just really bad i had to go in and have my esophagus streatched yesterday because i can 't even get the size of a pill to go down i now weigh 91 pounds they are talking about puting a feeding tube in did it sound like it was worth it to you sorry if im a little to honest but this really stink's i don't mean to scare you i would give my surgeon's name but not on a board i didn't have any other health problem's until now i really hope you have better luck

Okay, I had the surgery on Wednesday and feel great!
Personally, I think the 5% of GERD patients who have had this procedure and have turned out to have problems are the only ones posting.
Don't let 5% scare you, there are 95% of us out there who are doing good and living well.
