ok, it sounds like silly to be asking a burping question but here goes.
I nurse my 2 month old in the side lying position in bed for her 5am and 8am feedings. Since I have to leave for work immediately after I feed her at 8, I dont want her to wake up after she finishes (for both feedings she eats and falls asleep). I was wondering if anyone knows if it is bad not to burp her and instead let her sleep? I have done this since I started work a week ago and she has not spit up while sleeping.
Should I make sure to burp her after every meal?

I feed my ds the same way in the night also, he falls back asleep usually, if he stirs alot, I burp him, if he is quiet I leave him alone. hope this helps

If my DS falls asleep, I let him! I feed him this way in the morning too. He usually falls asleep after and I just leave him. If they don't seem uncomfortable, I wouldn't bother.

I also do the same as what the others say...if the baby is sleeping, I do not wake her up to burp her.
