I have been taking Prevacid 30 mg twice a day for a bit now. I have a few thoughts and would like help. I started out only on 15 mg once a day, then they bumped me up to 30mg and now I'm on 30 mg twice a day. Keep in mind this is over about a 8 month period.

I'm wanting to get off the medicine because I'm only 22 and don't feel I should need to be on a everday pill already at this age. Plus its getting expensive. The main reason I take it is due to stomach pain. Its seems to get better if I take the pill or eat. Has anyone had the same symptoms?

Is there any alternatives that I can do? I've never really been into the natural health stuff, like Digestive Enzymes, but am willing to try anything to solve this. Thanks for any light on this problem...

I have been taking the Aloe Vera that you get in a helath food store ( Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice ) instead of Pepsid AC, Zantac, or the like. I hate taking pills. I has been working quite well. It doesn't taste too good but hey, it works.
