I was just recently diagnosed with IBS. Since yesterday I have had this intense anal pressure, like I'm constipated. I try to go, but nothing comes out. I have to force it. When it does its soft and runny. I don't know what to do because the pressure is still there. Is it constipation? I want to take something, but I don't know what. The doctor put me on Librax. I took that last night but it didn't do anything. I also have Zelnorm and don't know if I should take that since its runny. But the pressure is so discomforting. Should I take a stool softner? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really want to take something, but I don't know what since I guess I have both constipation/diarrhea. :confused:

Hello Fairy314......The Zelnorm is "tailored-made" for your IBS. It should help with the motility problem and you should continue with it. It is the lack of intestinal motility that accounts for your feeling of being "stuffed". As for the other problem, you should also take an over the counter product that will help you restore soluble fiber to your gut.
