Hi I cracked a molar...next to my Wisdom tooth on the bottom. I think my top molar or wisdom tooth is pressing into the crack. I broke it on some toffee. My pulp, dentin and nerve is showing. I have lost almost half of my molar so far and yes have been in severe pain when something goes inside and hits the nerve :O I keep it very clean and have read if you can still feel that the tooth can be saved or bonded? What type of dentist should I go to...?

Is it possible to find a dentist that will just bond my tooth and not do an extraction or root canal. I have suffered since december for fear of those two things.
Thank You!

You can go to a general dentist to have it looked at. If you do not have a dentist that you trust I would suggest asking your friends and family who they go to and if they like them. That is the best way to find a good dentist. I have no idea if the tooth can be saved with a crown or onlay or filling at this point, but I do know that the longer you wait to get this taken care of the more likely it is that the tooth will need a root canal or extraction.

If you really want to avoid a root canal or extraction you need to see the dentist ASAP.

TY I will try to find a respectable dentist. I purchased a plan to help. I just hope they can fill under the tooth and it won't hurt so bad as when I get something stuck in there. Otherwise I know they will say root canal and that really scares me. Or extraction...
