I had two crowns put in the bottom back two teeth in late July. I had alot of pain and went back to the dentist who drilled one of the teeth a bit down becuase the bite was still a bit uneven. The bite is fine now, but the pain is there whenever I chew anything other than very soft foods, or drinking anything cold.
For all those with crowns, how long did you have pain after getting new crowns, and how long do you wait before even looking at root canal?

I would get a second opinion. I live near you and I know there are many good dentists that would address your pain, rather than put you off.
Also, a well made crown should not have to adjusted or ground down to accomaodate your bite.
